COURT HOUSE - Property owners in l/ower and Dennis townships and the borough of Woodbine will be paying the highest property tax rates in the coun ty this year, but not necessarily the highest property taxes, according to figures released by the county Board of Taxation. The tax rates are based on $100 of assessed property value While Lower Township homeowners will pay $3.38 in total taxes for each $100 in assesed value and their neighbors in (’ape May Point will pay $1 69. the value of properties in the Point is generally greater than that in the ad joining township so Point property owners generally wind up paying more taxes Although some of the county municipalities show dramatic decreases in their 1983 rates when com pared to 1982, those decreases reflect the effect of recent reassessments.
