British Brunch For Club STONE HARBOR - The first summer season luncheon of the 70th anniversary of the Women's Civic Club will be held starting at noon Tuesday. June 14, at the clubhouse, 96th and the Beach. Chairladies for the event will be Mrs. Jane Owings and Mrs. Jean Westhoff. They will be assisted by a committee of Mrs. R. de Laurentis, Mrs. F. Rollo, Mrs. C.. Rose, Mrs. G, Squasoni and Mrs. H. Strohmetz., THE LUNCHEON, a British Brunch, will be styled like the famous “Fish and Chips” served in merry ole England. It will consist of fried fresh flounder, potatoes, vegetables, beverages and desert. A borough flag will be set up on stage indoors while an American flag will be run up on the newly erected flag pole outside the clubhouse. Both flags were gifts from the local Chamber of Commerce. THE NOMINATING committee will announce its slate of candidates for officers to serve in 1984 with the elections to be held at the July 19 meeting. A special guest, Karen Nordahy, will present an outline of the Color Connections following the luncheon. Members and guests desiring to attend are urged to make reservations by calling 368-3299. Diller Home Fete June 18 The annual Helen L. Diller Vacation Home Cocktail Party has been set for 5-8 p.m. Saturday, June 18. The annual event, which kicks off the opening of the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children, has become one of the major social events sponsored by the .Stone Harbor Lions Club Women’s Auxiliary. The proceeds will benefit the Helen L. Diller Vaca tion Home for Blind Children. During the summer weeks, approximately 20 children per week enjoy a fun filled vacation under the care and supervision of councelors trained for their special needs.

Mural Contest For Promenade

CAPE MAY - A chalk Mural contest will be held on the City Promenade Father’s Day, Sunday, June, 19, sponsored by the County Art League. Artists will have 10 feet of space on the concrete “boardwalk" on which to execute their designs. A small entry fee will be charged and judges will award prizes. Anyone interested in reserving a space for the event should contact the Art League at 884-8628 11 a m.-3 p.m Artists may provide their own chalk or purchase it from the Art League on the day of the contest.
