SOARING — Darlene Decley,. h«rr performing on Che balance beam, has won an All-American title for gymnastic achievement and been named West Chester State College’s Female Athlete of Year. She also won Whelan and Whelan award for Outstanding Gymnast. Miss Deeley. a senior, is captain of the college women's gymnastic team. She Is Miss Cape May County, and will compete in the Miss New Jersey Pageant in July.

CITY MAY V - The City Will sponsor the Historic | Cape May Ironman Triathlon 10 a m - 5 p m Saturday, June 18. A triathlon is a test of speed, strength and en durance which forces competitors to give their best performance in three consecutive grueling events. The' day’s events will begin at the Beach Patrol Headquarters at Cannone Beach with a one-mile ocean swim followed by a 14- mile run and climaxing with a 40-mile bicycle race The bike race and run will start and finish at Convention Hall. RUNNERS WILL traverse the streets of Cape May as they make two laps around a 7.1 mile course The bicycle course will take contestants through Cape May, West Cape May, Lower Township, South Dennis. Court House and Rio Grande before they wend their way back into Cape May to finish. Rill Cook and Brendan Rosenberg collected 3 hits and 3 rbi’s apiece Carl umpscheid also had 3 rbi’s for I^aws Grande’s Bar shut out Quinn's Repair 18 0 Grande's had 25 hits Jeff Tomlinson, Joe Rimho, George Durante and Rick Hass combined for 14 out of the 25 hits. Navy at the Newport R I Officers' Candidate School On June 27. the 1981 Tern pie University graduate will report to the Navy Sur face Warefare Officers' School in California for 17 weeks training followed by six months underwater research training at the Officers’ Diving School in Florida.
