Cookin' the Catch Tuna Can Be A Tasty Meal - • S. i (Recipes collected and tested for excellent seafood preparation) By DIXIE L. ANDERSON Whether you prepare your tunafish from scratch, when the fisherman proudly drags one home, or buy a can of the prepared fish, the things you can do with tuna are numerous, and all are awfully good. * Over the years, good cooks have developed a dish called Strata, combining bread, eggs, and good stuff to present from their oven a second cousin to a souffle. Here's such a dish using tunafish and other good things. Try it, you’ll love it!
TUNA SCALLOP Z 2 cup stuffed green or ripe olives 5 slices white bread 1 can tuna 1}$ cup grated Cheddar cheese cup Chablis or other white dinner wine 3 eggs ^ teaspoon seasoned salt 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce cup milk Cut the olives into generous wedges. Trim crusts from bread and cut into cubes. Drain and flake the tuna. Arrange bread, olives, tuna and cheese in a 9 x 13 Baking dish. Beat eggs with milk and wine. Pour over the ingredients in the casserole. Bake at 350 degrees until set in the center, about 50 to 60 minutes. The combination of flavors makes this simf ile dish company fare. Serve it with sliced resh tomatoes, fresh cucumber pickles and green peas They're gonna love you for this one!
