Folklife Festival
CAPE MAY - An after noon fair and an evening concert will be featured at an ethnic folklife festival Saturday. June 25. on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate. 1048-1050 Washington St. Rain site is the Franklin Street Civic Center (between Washington and Lafayette Sts) The event is sponsored by the County Art League, the Country Library, and the MidAtlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) Music and dance perfor mances, exotic foods, and craft demonstrations and sales will highlight and afternoon fair, noon to 6 p.m. There will be a continuous series of perfor^mances by local ethnic and folk groups on the MAC outdoor stage, ranging from Irish Caeli dancers to Greek dancers, square dancers, and international folk dancers. Five of the region's leading ethnic and folk per formances will be featured at the evening concert.

Appearing at the evening concert wdl be: Bud and Ola Belle Reed, country music performers; Linda Goss, the American griot (African story teller); Jay Ansill, Irish harp £nd fiddle; David Joneft Britishballad and sei^ shanty singer; Jim AWertson, traditioal singer and storyteller: past president of the New Jersey Folklore Society.

Wetlands STONE HARBOR - The Wetlands Institute is offering a program this summer for children from preschool age through elementary school, with three different classes planned. The classes, to be held at the institute. Stone Harbor Blvd., Middle Township, are. Pre-school (age 4 or starting kindergarten in the fall): 9:30-11 a.m. July 11. July 18, and Aug. 8. KINDERGARTEN (age 5, completed kindergarten this spring): A five-day program with poems, nature crafts, and outdoor and indoor activities, 1:30-2:45 p.m. Aug. 15-19. Elementary (for grades 1 through 6): Five-day course includes field trips to marsh, dock, -dune or beach, as well as arts and crafts. Classes will be 9:30-11:30 am. MondayFriday — Grades 1 and 2. July 5 or Aug. 15; Grades 3 and 4. July 11 or Aug. 22; Grades 5 and 6, July 18 or Aug 29 For further information and registration, call 368-1211
