Nostalgia Reigns

OCEAN CITY - It will be a ‘Thanks For the Memories” weekend in the city with baseball memorabilia and antique autos featured Friday and Saturday. The Third Seashore Baseball Card and Sports Memorabilia Show is scheduled for the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Ter., noon-10 p.m. both days. The Jersey Cape Region’s 28th Annual Antique Auto Show and Boardwalk Parade will be held Saturday starting with an exhibit, 10 a.m. on the Tabernacle Grounds, 6th St. and Asbury Ave. THE BASEBALL Card show will feature over 80 exhibitors who will trade, sell and auction vintage cards. A “Hall of Fame” exhibit from Cooperstown, N.Y. will include the paraphernalia of diamond immortals such as Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. In addition, three “oldtimers,” Johnny Callison and Art Mahaffey of the Phillies and Ed Kranepool of the New York Mets, will visit the show and sign autographs. Callison will appear Friday 7-9 p.m., Kranepool, Saturday 2-4 p.m. and Mahaffey, Saturday, 7-9 p.m. The antique auto show will include over 200 cars in Art League Classes Set
