CAPE MAY - During May, traffic on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry increased by 218 vehicles and decreased by 1,280 passengers from May, 1982, according to David S. Chapman, general manager of the ferry. Ferry traffic for May, 1983, was 22,012 vehicles and 57,486 passengers compared to 21,794 vehicles and 58,766 passengers for May, 1982, an increase of one percent for vehicles and a decrease of 2.2 percent for passengers.
