angry, confused, resentful, and perhaps most important, filled with guilt, according to one of the founders of the local chapter of Families Anonymous. Similar, but unrelated to Alcoholics Anonymous, it will meet at Burdette every Thursday night from 7:30 to 9. "R’s not easy facing the choice between your parental responsibility and your

responsibility to yourself,” explained one of the mothers. “You need emotional support, and it helps if you’re with people with the same problems.” Families Anonymous uses only first names. It has no dues or fees, no directors or authorities, and is open to all.

Workshop Speaker COURT HOUSE - Freeholder Director Anthony T. Catanoso was one of the featured workshop speakers at the Statewide Conference relative to the On-The-Job Training Partnership Act. Freeholder Catanoso led the session of the newly appointed State Coordinating Council on duties and operation at the conference in New Brunswick recently. The Job Training Partnership Act, known as JTPA, is the new federal act under which the Cape May County Private Industry Council will work. IN ADDITION to Freeholder Catanoso, PIC members Marie Britton, Dan Money, Tom Wark and George Plewa attended the day-long conference. Nan Mavromates, PIC administrator, along with staff members Arlene Buckley, Karen Maiorana, Helena Aber, Mark Mansell, Charles Colombo, Terri Bryan and Caren Gross, also took part in the meeting. Catanoso explained that the State Job Training Coordinating Council (SJTCC) is required by every state that opts to receive funding under the J.P.T.A. New Jersey's State Council was appointed by Gov Kean in March of this year The 24-member State Council meets monthly and is representative of business, industry, state and local government, education and labor The foundation for the State's Special Services Plan has been submitted. This plan is one which is an effort to map a course for the new employment and training system.
