OCEAN CITY - Three local anglers recently caught a Great White shark, the first to be boated off the Jersey coast in four years. Competing in the Great Egg Harbor Marlin and Tuna Club Mako Tourna ment, the lucky fishermen are Allen and Gregg Vernon, brothers, and Jim Mott The big fish, weighing 226 pounds and measuring seven feet, four inches, was landed on the 17-foot "Spar tacus" 25 miles off Atlantic City, after a 2'2-hour fight It took another half an hour to get it into the boat The toothy catch brought them a prize of $500
