Openings In Program

CAPE MAY - The Department of Civic Affairs will accept registrations for another week for the city’s summer leisure time activities. Interested individuals or families can enroll in one of the many eight-week courses offered which run through Aug. 7. Programs with openings still available are Infant Swim, Tiny Tot Swim, Children Learn to Swim, Scuba Diving/ Basic and Intermediate Youth Teilnis and A M. Women’sJfxercise. Women’s Dancercise, Yoga, Aqua Aerobic^land Summer Swim Team. ADDITIONALLY, two American Red Cross Advanced Lifesaving Courses are being offered — an eight-week morning class and an accelerated fourweek course during evening hours. Classwork and Hot Action In Softball CAPE MAY - Ken Laurie went 3 for 3 as powerful DeKelco beat a much improved Mayer’s Bar team 10-4 in American League softball. The A.C. Press put together a dramatic 6-run rally in the 7th inning to down the U.S.C.G. EECEN 10-7. Mike DeVito and Jamie Bitting had 3 hits apiece. Ken Larricks knocked in the game winning rbi’s. In the Women’s Softball League, Vance's Sluggers nipped Way Point Marine Electronics 7-5 in extra innings. Kim Dellas scored the winning run for Vance’s. Myrna Valentine and Angela Jackson each had doubles in a winning cause. The U.S.C.G. Sugar Bears destroyed the Pirate’s Den in an awesome offensive display, 31-5.

CAPE MAY - The faculty and administration of Heritage Christian Academy announced that 10 students have been listed on the High Honor Roll for maintaining A’s in all subject areas for the final marking period of the year. ‘Freedom Race’ Set

N. WILDWOOD - The annual Freedom Race will be held by the Beach Patrol 6 p.m. Sunday, July 3. The four-mile run will start at patrol headquarters, 15th and the beach, go south through Wildwood to the Crest Fishing Pier, and return through Wildwood to finish at the headquarters. Registrations will be accepted by mail, with a $5 fee, until June 30, by sen-

ding checks to the North Wildwood Beach Patrol, four-mile run, 15th and Beach, North Wildwood 08260. Post-registration with a $6 fee will be accepted at the patrol headquarters until 5:30 p.m. the day of the race. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in all categories, age and gender divisions. The first 100 entries will receive T-shirts.
