Fife Corps Featured
CAPE MAY - The colorful Colonial Musketeers Fife and Drum Corps from Hackettstown will march and perform at Historic Cold Spring Village Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, a Children’s Show will be a highlight, and Village By Candlelight will extend visiting hours until 9:30 p.m Sunday afternoon will include square dancing on the Village Green beginning at 3 p.m During both days. 35 members of the Fife and Drum Corps will play 19th and 20th century marching favorites including World War I tunes. "Over There" and "It's a Grand Old Flag". Dressed in green
and red uniforms of the 1800's, the group ranges in age from 11 to 20. The Colonial Musketeers h^e been the New Jersey State Champion Fife and Drum Corps for the past three years and have ap peared in Virginia. Michigan and Connecticut for special performances. The village is open daily from 10 a m. to 5 p.m and features crafts demonstrn lions and shops, farm wagon tours, a small animal petting pen. the Old Grange Restaurant and a country store Crafts lessons are available from some of the artisans.
