Seafood Festival Funded CAPE MAY — The Cape May Seafood Festival has been awarded a $5,000 matching grant by the New Jersey Department of Commerce and Economic Development. Division of Travel and Tourism The festival is scheduled for Sept 9. 10. and 11 The event, sponsored by the (-’hamher of Commerce and the City of Cape May. will honor Cape May's 350 year old fishing industry and memoralize the fishermen lost at sea The festival will include a blessing of Ihe fleet and ceremonies at the Coast .Guard Base, commercial fishing displays at Convention Mall, memorial services and a seafood restaurant festival The chamber and city jointly submitted the application for the matching funds The funds will pro mote the activity with the state logo N J Fishing Industry and You.
