AVALON — Avalon’s third annual Sports Weekend is scheduled, for Aug. 5. 6 and 7 as announc ed by Ernie Yarborough, president of the Chamber of Commerce This very successful event brings outstanding players from the Philadelphia area professional teams to meet and mingle with young and old in Avalon As in the past, the players and their families will arrive late Friday afternoon THERE WILL BE a parade at 10 a m. Saturday on Dune Dr between 33rd and Hth Avc. The Greater Kensington String Band will lie part of that parade along with the athletes, of ficials and others Follow mg the parade a series of sports clinics will be eon ducted for the kids at the Hth St Recreation Field After a luncheon for the special guests a Playboy Bunny Softball game will take place at -1:30 p m.
