CAPE MAY - Lieutenant (JG) Peter M Keane was awarded the U S. Coast Guard Achievement Medal during a ceremony aboard the tl S. Coast Guard Cutter Alert He •'was cited for his superior performance of duty while serving as Ihe Group Operations Officer for Coast Guard Group Atlantic City. (Sept 1980 to May 1982* and as executive officer of Station Atlantic City. -May 1982 to May 19831 While serving in Inese capacities LTJG Keane demonstrated ouLstanding professionalism and leadership while perform ing a wide variety of duties. One of these duties was as Division Commander for the "Night iq Venice" boat and parade iri Ocean City This involved insuring that over 100 participant boats and 250,000 spectators were able to enjoy and par ticipate in the parade safely . v The medalMtps presented to LTJG Keane by CDTt LA Kagan.
