COURT HOUSE - A H. Childs, 63. an aviation consultant from Beaver, Pa., will take over county airport manager and county director of economic development on Aug. 1. "We’re tying the two jobs together and we’re going to save some money," said Freeholder director Anthony Catanoso in announcing Childs' appointment last week. "And this guy has the most experience.” Five candidates submitted applications for the economic devetopment job but no one, except Childs, applied for the airport management opening. Catanoso added Since Childs is qualified for both jobs, the freeholders decided to hire him and fill two vacancies with one official Catanoso explained. While the freeholders and Childs negotiate his salary, he will be paid $1,500 a month, Catanoso and Childs confirmed The former Air Force pilot will be filling the shoes of both Robert Laws.t who resigned earlier this year) as the $1-a-year airport manager, and Donald Kelly, (who resigned from the $31,000 a year directorship last month, after his suspension for alleged misconduct). "I realize there are problems there with the airport and with economic development, but that's business," said Childs, adding that he hopes to make a contribution toward correcting those problems "AS AIRPORT MAN ACER, he wants to make the facility a "revenue producing" operation "or at least on the break-even side." Although he said he hasn't reviewed the scope of his responsibilities as director of economic development, Childs added. "Unless the Board 'of Freeholders' has a different idea, it (the job) would encompass economic development 'throughout the county)." Despite his age. Childs said, "I don't have any thoughts about retire ment." He and his wife, Phyllis, are looking forward to moving into Cape May County, he added, but have not yet decided where Currently, Childs serves as principal consultant for Aviation Planning Associates in Pittsburgh. He had worked as manager of airport projects for Michael Baker Jr. Inc.,
Consulting Engineers; director of The Bureau of Aviation for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, a $17,060 a year post in 1972; and industrial development coordinator for the Delaware River Port Authority. THE CHESTER. PA„ native also served as the part-time executive director of the Delaware County Industrial Airpark Authori ty in 1968 but resigned in February. 1970, when the Delaware County Commissioners decided to scrap plans for a general aviation airport. According to his resume. Childs had been a district
sales manager for National Airlines and Flying Tiger Lines. A 1952 business administration graduate of the University of Tennessee,, he is a retired colonel of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard who was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross and 10 Air Medals while serving in the USAF and Army Air Corps.

freely between them are pinched This means an im pairment in the ability of the nerve to carry nerve energy needed to control certain muscles, organs or glands The result is poor health Spinal curvature can be corrected by chiropractic adjustment Dr, JoMph J. It I no —Chiroproclor—
