"Putting art in the public eye" is the way Mary Federici described the Victorian mural scene being painted on the 60 ft. x 10 ft. high wall on the Victorian Plaza which faces Washington Street across from Victorian Towers. The artists are all donating their services. Cheryl Krues-Lynch is the artistdesigner; others are Mary Federici, Barbara Knipple, Maryann Cannon (who took leave of absence from her job to participate), and Shirley Furnack. ''Sidewalk superintendents" will observe local residents in Victorian costumes will be featured upon the mural. All authentic is what it's going to be: a Victorian scene with poj*ch background, lattice wbrk, and everything you’d expect to see on the front of a real Victorian home. MAB Paint Co. has very graciously donated paints, brushes, and even painters’ caps. So keep on the lookout. You'll be recognizing some of the local figures as they get painted on the Victorian mural. All artists are members of the Cape May County Art League, sponsoring this event. League's headquarters is 1050 Washington St., in Cape May, in the Carriage House on the Emlen Physick Estate.
