Sea Isle City — The Recreation Department will host a number of "Fun Days” throughout the summer. These events will consist of a variety of recreation for all ages. The list includes: Saturday, July 16: A basketball "free throw" competition will be held for pairs beginning with a registration at 9 a m. on the Kennedy Boulevard basketball courts. Mixed pairs are not mandatory for this competition Each pair will shoot 50 free throws (25 each) in hopes of scoring the best percentage. A run-off of 50 shots will be held if necessary Various age groups will be used to provide a balanced competition. Saturday, July 23. The city’s First Annual Wayout Games will provide laughter and entertainment for all ages The games will consist of a human pyramid, a lap game, water balloon relay, potato relay, one-legged reverse race and more Registration will begin at 9 a m at the Kennedy Boulevard pavillion and A Weekend Of Fashion, Big Band AVALON, — The Recreation Department will add something new to its weekend activities, the Island Fantasy Fashion Show, July 22 at thq ComTnunily Hall Fashions for the show will be provided by area merchants ahd the models will also be from the area Tickets may be obtained at Community Hall. Proceeds will benefit the Helen Diller Home for the Blind Saturday night. July 23, will be Big Band Dance night at the Community Hall from 9 p m to midnight Music for listening and dancing will be by the Al Raymond Band

August 6 "Fun Field Day" at Dealy Field beginning at 10 a m Various age groups (from o 110 years old) will com pete in field events such as baseball and softball throws, dash runs, long jumps, rope jumping and frisbee throws There will be a limit of three events per person Saturday, Aug. 13: Beginning at 10 a m. at the
Kennedy Boulevard beach there will be a "novice homemade kite flying coritest. ' Judges will award prizes for various categories. No storebought kites or kite clubs are allowed. Saturday. Aug 20: A "sand sculpture contest" with age* divisions and three winning categories Winning entries will be determined no later than noon Saturday. Aug 27: "Family Field Day'' will be the order of the day at Dealy Field beginning al 10 a m A water balloon relay, balloon throw, one-legged reverse race, a noon hot dog eating contest <a registra tion fee will lx* required for this event), and a jump rope contest
