CAPE MAY COUrI HOUSE. N.J.
Dining Guide-
(From Page 26) Already there have been rave reviews about the superlative food, ambiance and decor in the fabulous old home which houses the Swallows. The food defies comparison — because there are so few places which offer the matchless styles offered by the Swallows, but it deserved to be experienced during a most special summer evening. Dinner nightly from 6 to 10:30 p.m. — reservations suggested. Telephone 884-0400. • • • THE COUNTRY HOUSE - for fresh country cooking. The Country House restaurant on Rt. 9, Burleigh has been a steady winner for the past quarter century where oldfashioned country cooking is served. You’ll enjoy the excellent homemade soups, turkey and chicken dishes, and deluxe fresh baked pies. The Country House is open Sunday 3 to 8:30 (Sunday dinner here is a county tradition), Tuesday-Saturday from 4 to 8:30 p.m. The country setting makes the short drive pleasant and relaxing (the restaurant is located 1 mile south of exit 8, Garden State Parkway). Always recommended. TWO MILE INN — nautical moments. The Two Mile Inn features two different dining rooms — The Crab House Tavern for tavern-style cooking (steamed clams, shrimp, blue claws, king sized sandwiches) and the Main Deck Dining Room with romantic flair. There is food aplenty for all tastes, whether from the sea or the land — but the seafood is naturally exceptional. Ample parking and dockage. Two Mile Inn is located on Ocean Highway 1 mile south of Wildwood Crest, at the foot of the Cape May drawbridge. Call 522-1341.
