WILDWOOD - A movie filmed primarily in the Wildwood area will premier at Hunt’s Shore Twin One on Sept. 16. "Touched," formerly “Some Sunny Day," was filmed in August and September of 1981 on the Wildwood boardwalk, beaches and adjacent areas. Some scenes also were shot in Bridgeton. Merlin Paul, general manager of Hunt’s Theatres & Amusements, said the film was originally rated "R,” but was "cleaned up to ’PG’.’’ He said the film is scheduled for one week, but “could stay two or three.” “Touched” tells the story of two former psychiatric hospital patients who have fled to make a better life for themselves. The news release from International Film Marketing said their story is told “against the hectic backdrop of carnival-like boardwalk
life."
The film is,directed by John Flynn, who was assistant director to Steven Spielberg, director of ' ‘ E . T . : The ExtraTerrestrial." Convene Sat.
