Summer’s going fast — only three more weeks to Labor Day. Now’s the time to make sure you take advantage of everything about you; so many programs and places you should see. One such place is historic Cold Spring Village, with so many arts and crafts, lots of little shops, and even a place to dine. Stiles Taxi Co. is handling tours for the Village, at 11 a.m., then ? and 4 p.m. It's all done by reservation; you’ll be picked up wherever you are, and taken home too (884-5999 will have Shirley Stiles handle it all for you). • • • Does Mako Shark, or Scallop Salad, or steamed shrimp, clams, lobster, etc. grab you? Two very young and frail ladies, by Arlene Fornabalo and Jan MacKenile, residents of Cape May, have this art well in hand. In fact, there are always a few waiting for them to open their little booth called ’’All Steamed Up”. It’s right in the Akroteria on Beach Drive near the corner of Perry St. Arlene was formerly with the Fishery, where she cooked and cooked seafood. Jan was the cook on a large fishing boat. So you see, they both know their seafood. • • • CAPE MAY RESCUE Squad Auxiliary raffle goes off Sunday, Sept. 4 at 10 p.m. in Convention hall. First prize is a 19-inch color TV with remote con-
Victorian Dinner Set
CAPE MAY - The MidAtlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) invites the public to an elegant Victorian dinner party. The dinner begins at 6:30 Saturday with cocktails or wine and hors d’oeuvres in the formal parlor of the Emlen Physick House. From there the guests proceed to the candlelit dining room for a full course dinner including dessert (with a choice of entrees of individual beef Wellington or crabmeat souffle). After a delicious dinner, coffee and mints will be served in the music room. The donation for the dinner and a tour of the house will be all inclusive and tax deductible. Attendance will be limited to 20 guests. Call the MAC office (884-5404) to make reservations.
