Bach Concert Slated
CAPE MAY - The Chamber Music Consort of Philadelphia will perform an ail-Bach concert at the Church of the Advent (Washington St. at Franklin St. Tuesday, Aug. 30 8:30 p.m. as part of the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) Performing Arts Festival. As a public service, MAC offers these concerts at the subsidized price. Founded in the summer of 1977 by harpsichordist Elizabeth Boggs, the group has given many concerts at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, including the popular medieval Christmas concert in the Romanesque cloister. The group has also performed at La Salle College, the Shipley School, the Atwater-Kent Museum, the Philadelphia Art Alliance, and the Appel Farm Arts and Music Center. The chamber music consort has been acclaimed for two seasons of "Bach’s Chamber Music at Christ Church,” and has been awarded a grant by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Macedonia Choir Sings Tomorrow
CAPE MAY - The Macedonia Choir, led by Rev. Robert Davis of the Macedonia Baptist Church, will present a concert 8 p.m. tomorrow at Convention Hall. Admission is free. Because of the concert, the scheduled teen dance will be cancelled. The final teen dance of the season will be 7-9:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1.
