JERSEY CITY - At a meeting of the board of directors on August 17, 1983, the First Jersey National Corp. declared a regular quarterly dividend on common stock of 40 cents per share, payable to shareholders of record on September 2nd, to be paid Sept. 30. First Jersey National Corp. recently reported net income for the second quarter ended June 30 of $3.9 million, compared to $2.9 million reported for the same period in 1962. ‘Cold Cash’ Extended
PLEASANTVILLE - Increasing customer response has prompted Atlantic Electric to extend the deadline on its “Cold Cash" rebate program to Sept. 30. The program rewards residential customers for replacing inefficient air conditions with models that have efficiency ratings of 9 EER or above. To date the company has awarded more than $44,000 in rebates for 412 units. More than half the rebates were issued in late July and early August. Most the rebates, 248, were for central air conditioners, while 164 window units qualified for the incentives.

Chamber Banquet Slated COURT HOUSE - Carlton Owen, treasurer of the County Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the chamber's Annual Meeting and Installation Banquet Committee, has announced that this year’s membership meeting will be at the Beach Terrace Motor Inn, Wildwood, Thursday evening, Oct. 6. A Dutch treat cocktail hour will precede the 7:30 p.m. prime rib dinner and program. Tickets include tax and gratuity. All members will be mailed two. tickets in early September. For reservations and additional tickets call the chamber office at 465-7181. THE 1983 COUNTY Beautification Award will be presented during the program. All nominated sites and projects will be announced and color slides of each of the projects will be shown on a movie screen. The winner in each of the three categories will be presented with an engraved plaque. All nominated sites will receive a framed certificate of recognition. Chamber Director Larry Newbold is again preparing the Beautification - Awards video presentation. The Musicana Singers will present a musical show following the formal program. "There will be no long speeches" promised Owen. The Musicana Singers have appeared all summer' at the Beach Terrace Cabaret Dinner Theatre and are being held over for the annual dinner meeting. The entertajners are all •college students majoring in the performing arts working as singing waiters/waitresses and entertainers. Accommodations for the dinner meeting and program will be limited to the first 185 reservations received in the Chamber office. C of C Has Souvenir Buttons COURT HOUSE - "I Love Cape May County" buttons are now available for sale at the County (Chamber of Commerce Information Centers on the Garden State Parkway here and in Seaville. The information centers are open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. seven days a week. The main center is located at mile post 11 on the Parkway at Crest Haven Road. The Seaville center is located in the Parkway> Service Area at milepost 18.
