Clammers Cautioned -8 TRENTON - The New Jersey Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife wants illegal clammers that there is going to be strict enforce . ment of the laws and violators may face substantial jail terms. In a recent case in Atlantic City, a 24-year-old man was sentenced to 30 days in jail for taking clams from condemned waters. He was convicted of taking clams from the bay waters off West End Ave. In Atlantic City after he was spotted harvesting a substantial number of clams by Sgt. James Keeping of the Marine Enforcement Unit of the Division of Eish, Game and Wildlife. • r The Division warns that it intends to strictly enforce the shellfish regulations because the taking of clams from condemned waters poses a serious health hazard
