OCEAN CITY - Special events and entertainment keep rolling in during September. The Senior Citizens Crafts Festival is 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 13 and 14. This show will offer a variety of crafts ranging from knitted articles to woodwork. Admission is free. The Happy Hoofers Ballroom Dance Club will hold a dance at the Music Pier, 8:30 p.m. Sept. 17. The Ambers will play. On Saturday, Sept. 24, a Decoy Show featuring the area’s finest wood carvers

will be held at the Pier 10 a.m.-lO p.m. Admission is free. The Ocean City "Pops" Orchestra concludes its seakon toijight. The group, undeK4)re direction of Frank Ruggieri, has been playing at the Pier since July. Concerts start 8 p.m. OTHER ENTERTAINMENT set for the Pier -in September includes the LuLu Temple Concert Band, 8 p.m. Sunday, free. The Jubiliare Singers will appear 8 p.m. Sept. 8. $1 admission. On Sunday, Sept. 11.

desserts. Restaurants featuring dining family style will offer their dishes on the veranda of historic Congress Hall. Helen Dickenson, a Cape , May institution at the Chalfonte Hotel, cook for over 40 years, will feature her deviled crabcakes and clam chowder. Choice Lobster 'House specialties will be offered during the Festival, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m. The seafood gourmet will have the chance to dine the Shire, sample McGlade’s sampler and take out the finest of the Trattoria. Alexander’s cuisine, the Bayberry Inn’s seafood pasta primavera, The Montreal Inn’s seafood and the Pilot House will all be within a few steps. During the Restaurant Festival the sounds of a Dixieland band will be enjoyed. Immediately following the festival, diners can relax with a stroll on the Mall to listen to the Renowned Philadelphia Lulu Temple Orchestra playing at the bandstand. Class Prexies At Conference Two Wildwood Catholic High School c 1 a S’S presidents recently attended the 28th annual LeadersHTt> Training Conference sponsored by the New Jersey Association of Studept Councils at the Ralph S. Mason YMCA Camp in Blairstown. Taking part in the training sessions were Laura Grayson, daughter of Charles and Laura Grayson, 303 Church Rd., Rio Grande, who is senior class president, and Chris Koch, son of Fred and Peggy Koch, 9305 Sea view Ave., Wildwdbd Crest, sophomore class president.

Frank Ruggieri and the "Pops" Orchestra will return for a special free concert starting 8 p.m. The Young At Heart takes over the Pier Sept. 15, followed by the Sweet Adelines, Sept. 16. Both concerts start 8 p.m. Doris Bellen, organist, will present a recital at the Pier 8 p.m. Sept. 19. Steven Bemick, a young gospel singer, will sing at the Pier 8 p.m., Sept. 21. Other special events include a Quilt Show and

sale, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sept. 9 and 10, at the Youth Center, 6th and Atlantic Avenue. Friends of Music opens its Fall Concert Series, 8 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Music Pier. The Concerto soloists will be featured. The Multiple Sclerosis Bike-A-Thon, led by TV personality, Larry Kane, will arrive in Ocean City, Saturday, Sept. 10, with an awards dinner that evening on the Music Pier. The City's Indian Summer weekend begins Oct. 1.
