BTMH Offers Course

COURT HOUSE - A Critical Care Nursing course is being offered by Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital's Inservice Education Department. Sept. 20 - Nov. 15. Open to area registered nurses and licensed practical burses, the series of 16 three-hour classes is designed to enhance the professional skills of nurses interested in sppcialfting in the care of critically ill patients,. Topics to be covered will include emergency care of various types, effective monitoring and risk management, and the modern technology of critical care. The course will be taught by BTMH physicians, nurses and health care professionals in specialty fields. Classes will meet Tuesday’s. 3:30-6:30 p.m. and Thursday’s, noon-2:30 p.m. Successful completion of a final exam will qualify students for continuing education credits. A $50 fee will be required of nurses not employed at the hospital. Anyone interested in attending or desiring further information may call 465-2000, extension 295. Registration deadline is Sept. 16.
