The ex-lifeguard is now with the Houston Oilere Sam Frees Jr;, son of Mr and Mrs Samuel Frees Sr, <|f Poplar Avenue. West Wildwood, is now swim coach for the Univ. of Arkansas. He is likely to be the coach for the Olympic swim team. Frees served many seasons as a lifeguard under Capt. John fapacie As we often write, the Wildwoods seem to, .have the beat lifeguards in the worid, including Crest lifeguard Tom Pepdaa, who swam the English Channel this summer. • • • AS YOU READ this, Ed and Ayne Zaberer will be winging their way via Luftsansa airlines to Germany for the Oktoberfest. On one memorable journey abroad, they shared plane space with Greer Garson. Zaberer’s employs more folks than the city of North Wildwood, so it's always a sad 'day

Last year, police towed away Zaberer’s car and the vehicle belonging to South Philly Congressman Tom Fogttetta from the area adjacent to Cozy Morley’s Foglietta is so promiment he figured in the funeral for Prlacess Grace. Coxy Morley staged a smashing show for the Mid-Atlantic Shriners at Convention Hall. CAPE MAY Civic Affairs Director Terry Brown was a superb athlete in his Wildwood days. Terry’s on the right track in wining and dining German travel writers at the Cape. Mrs Terri Toland. Crest Postmistress at Anderson’s, says many of her customers this season have been from England and Germany. We have also talked to many visitors from Spain and the Orient. We still puzzle why county promoters have not hosted a safari of syndicated travel writers — not just those concerned with fishing. Freeholders should also authorize a county toll free travel inquiry number. It’s a great success in Wildwood, thanks to the Tourism Council’s wise use of mercantile tax funds. • • • A full. moon means migratory fish travelling time, especially during the first full moon of the (all. Banner surf, jetty and party boat fishing is anticipated. Tbe cost of surf and jetty fishing is just bait - not a bad deal! Crabbing continues fast apace until late November. Bob Neri Sr. and Jr. nabbed 35 big blue claw crabs on the Coast Guard Electronic Engineering base below Diamond Beach. All that is needed is a pole to probe around tbe pilings of the four wooden bulkhead jetties at lonp tide and a dip net to cat£h the fast moving critters. Maybe you’ll get a nip or two, but iodine's lots cheaper than crabs nowadays. Imagine a free nice mess of crabs — and you don’t even have to buy bait. Bob Neri, Jr. is an AbbottS rnilkmun • • • RETIREE POPULATION is slipping badly in Pennsylvania and New York, but is booming in Cape May county and New Jersey. They have a reliable income from pensions and other sources. The October issue of “Dynamic Yaart” lists Jersey as a “hot spot'' that prospective retirees should check out. The magazine, , the spokesman for the American Association of Retired .Persons (AARP), indicates a fair-sized boom in retirement bousing is underway in Cape May and Ocean counties The magazine cites tbe moderating influence of the Gulf Stream as a lure to retirees with close ties to New York and Philly. Writer Eric Sckaman predicts California-style retirement communities will spring up in large numbers on tbe Jersey Cape.
THE RETURN of tbe bottle law guaranteeing a consumer refund on each

CHIROPRACTIC FOR BETTER HEALTH
We often bear people ex-, plain how their back “went out" when they over exerted in some way. Actually the spinal column is a rugged structure, capable of handling heavy loads. When years of abuse and r r posture have gradualbad an effect on tbe muscles which support tbe £ ' k, a condition develops t makes H possible for some minor exertion to
move a vertebra out of alignment. Back trouble, requiring chiropractic care, is tbe result. Regular chiropractic check-ups prevent major back trouble by correcting minor problems promptly.
