Nutrition Project Menu Told
COURT HOUSE - The Herald and Lantern this week begins publishing the weekly menu for the Cape May County Nutrition Project lor the Elderly. Meals are served at noon to about 385 persons at seven sites: Airport Senior Center, Millman Center inVillu. North Wildwood Senior Center, Vo-Tech School at Crest Haven, Ocean City Stainton Center, Upper Township Senior Center and Wildwood Community Center. About 100 mobile meals also are delivered to the homebound.

Next week's menu: Oct. 3: chicken croquettes with white sauce, rice, broccoli, apricot halves. and oatmeal cookie. Oct. 4: two frankfurters, baked beans, >■ chopped spinach and apple crisp Oct. 5: meat loaf with gravy, baked potato, peas, an orange and a raisin cookie. Oct. 6: beef stew; beans and carrots, boiled potato, chocolate cake. Oct. 7: baked fish fillet with tartar sauce, orange juice, green beans with stewed tomatoes, Cinnamon bun. Wholewheat bread, margerine and beverage also are included with each meal.
The “Friends of Burdette” are interested, according to the statement announcing the meeting, .“in facilitating the' democratic electoral process, giving all citizens of the county an opportunity to participate in the selection of those -individuals who desire to support the goals and objectives of the haafttaT. Notice of the meeting was sent out by Joseph Ward of West Cape May, a consumer activist who was involved some years ago setting up a county arthritis clinic. ^

AVALON - The Senior Citizens Organization at its opening meeting of the 1983-84 season, at the Deauville Inn, were entertained by Mrs. Peggy Spencer of the County Office on Aging. The seniors were told the extent of the services of the staff of .41 people who run the office Of the 23,000 older citizens in the county an average of 385 are provided with noon meals at the service centers and an average erf 100 have meals delivered to them at home.
