Weekend Promises Fashions, Cocktails
CAPE MAY-One of the most popular events of Cape May’s annual Victorian Weekend is the Victorian Fashion Show . This . year, it will be held on Saturday at 5 p.m. on the outdoor stage of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St.
Live models will display choice items, from wedding gowns to bathing suits, from the collection of 19th and early 20th century costumes belonging to the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, the event’s sponsor. Trolley Excursions Planned For Fall
“Born Yesterday,” Garson Kanin’s brilliant comedy of the 1940’s, will inaugurate MACs second year of trolley excursions. The MAC trolley will leave the Physick Estate at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22. Dinner will be at Daniel's restaurant in Somers Point, followed by the play which is presented by the South Jersey Regional Theater. event on Saturday, November 19. Reservations may be made for one or both of these outstanding plays by calling the MAC office at 884-5404. Future trolley excursions will include December trips to Philadelphia for The Nutcracker,” as well as local tours of Christmas displays.
