Jewish Women Meet Sermon Based On Philippians

WILDWOOD - The resort chapter of Hadassah a^d Beth Judah Temple's Sisterhood met jointly last week -at the home, of Mrs. Larry Hirsch. The 1963-'84 presidium for both organizations includes Rhoda gold, Miriam Hirsch and Nancy Tenenbaum. Organization officers are: Joyce Gould, fund raising; Ann Dubin, and Babs Rosenthal, recording secretaries; Ruth Kurland, corresponding secretary. Hadassah is a women’s Zionist organization which raises funds for hospitals, orphanages, technology, medical and agricultural assistance to Israel. Its board includes: Sylvia Wagon, treasurer; Anita de Satnick, HMO and membership; Lola Turner, education; Freda Staller and Edith Rinerman, youth Aliyah; Paula Goodman, supplies; 4 Peggy Gold, trees; and Beverly Atlas, blue boxes. Christmas Bazaar Set

PETERSBURG — The United Methodist Women's Society of the Wesley United Methodist Church will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar in the Church Hall, Saturday, Nov. 5. Hand made articles for all occasions will be on sale as well as home made baked goods. Bazaar will open at 10 a.m., and luncheon will be served ll a.m.-l p.m.

Childbirth Conference On Nov. 12

N. CAPE MAY - A conference on “Childbirth: A renaissance’’ will be held 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at St. John of God Church Hall, Town Bank Rd. The gathering is sponsored by Renaissance, a consumer advocate group for family-centered choices in childbirth. It will bring together parents and professionals to discuss the future of childbirth practices in Cape May County. Speakers will include Diony Young, author of Changing Childbirth: Family Birth in the Hospital, which was awarded a Book of the Ye/ir award by the .American Journal of Nursing. OTHER SPEAKERS will’ be Dr. Robert Block, William Waldron, Dr. John Hoeveler, Ruth Wilf, CNW; Dr. Bruce Noll. Also speaking will be EM Tetelman from the Department of the Public Advocate and Linda Sam, RNMN, nursing director of the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative. N. WILDWOOD - The pastor, Dr. Alvin L. Baker, will be continuing his exposition of Philippians with a message entitled “The Condescension of God the. Son,” at the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at Central Bible Church. The 7 p.m. message is entitled “Poor Rich Men". Sunday School starts at
