MIDDLE TOWNSHIP - Committeewoman Pat Peterson refused to vote for a state shore protection resolution, at the Oct. 5 township committee meeting unless it included some aid for local residents on the Delaware Bay. Peterson, who is the Republican candidate for reelection, requested the resolution be changed from a general state shore protection bond act to include money earmarked to protect these people from the serious erosion problem on the bay side^ "My’ concern is with the people ofMiddle Township,” Peterson said. "These are not shacks we’re talking about, these are fine ’y^ar-round homes "
