Cape May Republican Women’s Club is sponsoring a bus trip to the Claridge Casino Friday, Oct. 28th. Benefits are' $8 coins and $5 food coupon. Bus leaves 9 -a.m. from Cape May Bus station on Ocean St. Bea Lanzi will handle reservation, at 884-0645. Return trip leaves Casino at 3 p.m. and arrives home 4 p.m. Social Action Group of Our Lady Star of the Sea in Cape May does wonderful deeds. Headed by Catherine McGill and a bevy of dedicated women, they visit the sick and lonely men and women at Crest Haven Complex. The infirm are treated to ice cream, cake, candy (all donated by Star of the Sea Church) then participate in a sing-a-long. But here is where you can help: These ladies are gathering little items which can be used for Christmas gifts: i.e., body lotion, powder, combs, nightwear if you've any to spare, but you know what? Busy Month For VFW Unit CAPE MAY - PetersonLittle Post 386, Veterans of Foreign Wars, has slated a busy November. Members will travel to Washington, D.C. Nov. 5, 6 and 7 for the State of New Jersey 49th tomb trek to Arlington National Cemetery to place a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Order of Cooties Pup Tent 86 will hold a dinner Nov. 13 at the post home 1-6 p.m., with the menu to include steak and ribs. The post will hold a dinner dance Nov. 26 to marie its 50th anniversary.
