RIO GRANDE - WRIOFM is holding a special evening of fellowship and inspiration for its listeners on Friday night at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 656 Seashore Rd., Erma. While WRIO is interdenominational in its religious programming, the church was chosen because of its large capacity and parking facilities. WRIO-FM the only Christian radio station in the Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland County area, broadcasts inspiration programing 6 a.m. to 12 midnight daily at the 102.3 spot on the FM dial. tioo’s revised format and new programs. Many of the programmers who have regular programs on the station will also be present at the special service. Covenant Bible Church of North Cape May, First United Methodist Church of Cape May and Erma Tabernacle United Methodist .Church broadcast their weekly worship services on WRIO. Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian of Wildwood and West Cape May First Assembly of God also have regular programs on WRIO. Many other churches in the county have special programming on the station. Paul Schumacher, a Christian concert and recording artist, will conclude the special service with a concert of sacred music. Schumacher and his wife Nancy purchased the station in May of this year. The public is invited for the special radio rally.

Help Asked By School On Labels

N. CAPE MAY - Heritage Christian Academy will take part in the Labels for Education Program of the Campbell Soup Co. to obtain audiovisual and athletic equipment. Students will collect labels from all Campbell products (soups, V-8 juices, beans tomato juice, Swanson products and FrancoAmerican products.) The school will redeem the labels at the end of the prbgram for the wanted equipment. THE SCHOOL asks that everyone save the front portion of these labels and give them to one of the students, drop them off at the school, or mail them in. The school will also be collecting Post Fun-and-Fitness seals, found on Post cereals, to obtain free athletic equipment. The school is at 123 Fishing Creek Rd.

CAPE MAY - The Lutheran Church will hold a yard and bake sale 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, and 10 am.-noon Saturday, Oct. 22, in the church yard, 509 Pittsburgh Ave.

WILDWOOD CR. - Sunday worship at First Methodist Church begins at 9:30 a.m. at the church, 6700 Atlantic Ave., with a program for the children which includes worship and then moves to the educational wing for study, crafts, refreshments, and exercise. Adult Sunday School’s at 10:45 a.m. Evening worship is at 7:30 p.m. with the “Person and Work of the Holy Spirit” as the theme. Wednesday morning men’s fellowship is at 6:30 a.m. The men of the community are invited, Wednesday Bible Study is at 7 p.m. The pastor is leading a study of the Book of Acts. A Tuesday morning study for the ladies begins at 9:30 a.m. Following the study there will be instruction in the art of candlewicking by Mary Stewart. Program Started

SEA ISLE CITY - A “Renew” program, a sixweek concerted effort to continue each fall and spring for the next three years to promote spiritual growth, has been begun at St. Joseph’s Church. The goal of the program is “to promote a coordinated plan aimed at renewed Christian living' through teaching and witnessing the Word of God, developing vibrant faith communities, in the sphere of social justice for all.” Other parishes throughout the state have joined in praying for the success of the Renew program, along with the ministers and congregations of the Lutheran Church here, Calvary Baptist Church, Ocean view, and Seaview Methodist Church. Small prayer groups, meeting once a week for six weeks, have been formed throughout this city, Seaville, and Dennisville.
