TRENTON - The Division of Fish. Game and Wildlife said that there has been some confusion over changes in the regulations for obtaining juvenile hunting licensee For the 1983-84 hunting season, juveniles aged 10 to 14 may, for the first time, obtain their hunting license from any state license agent. The fee for the juvenile license, however, has been raised from $2 to $2.50, and a complete description of the licensee must be filled out These forms, which are actually part of the license, are available from both the Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife, CN 400, Trenton, New Jersey 08625, or from any license agent. A CONSIDERABLE number of applicants have applied for juvenile licenses to the division without submitting the correct fee or the necessary information. To obtain a juvenile hunting license the applicant's parent or legal guardian must apply and present either a previous year’s license or a certificate showing the juvenile has successfully completed the

appropriate hunter education course. The juvenile is allowed to hunt only when accompanied by a licensed adult at least 21 years of age. Failure to comply with these regulations will mean a delay in chaining a license. Bow Hunting Take Down TRENTON — Despite rainy and foggy weather for the opening of the fall deer bow seasin, Oct. 1, a total of some 610 deer were taken on opening day. This is down from the 741 deer which were taken on opening day of 1982, but is higher than the 576 deer taken on opening day in 1981. Both the opening days in 1981 and 1982 were good deer hunting weather as compared with 1983. THE DIVISION of Fish, Game and Wildlife said that should good weather continue through the season, which ends Nov. 11, there should be excellent bow hunting throughout the state. The legal hours/or hunting are one-half hour before sunrise until onehalf hour after sunset. For a complete list of the rules and regulations and also the sunrise and sunset times, - hunters should check the New Jersey Summary of Hunting and Trapping Laws, which is provided free from license agents at the time the hunting license is purchased.
