AHA Opens New Office

MILLVILLE - The Southern New Jersey Chapter of the American Heart Association is pleased to announce the grand opening of its new facilities here tomorrow. The new office consolidates council offices previously located in Northfield and Glassboro, thus serving the five southern-most counties of South Jersey. An open house is scheduled 4 to 6 p.m. at the new . location, 2 N. High St., in

the Heritage Bank Building. The event is open to the public and includes refreshments and entertainment, featuring the aerobic dance group, Kathy Weiss and Co. Southern New Jersey Chapter headquarters for the association are located in Pennsauken. The American Heart Association works to reduce premature death and disability from cardiovascular diseases.

TUCKAHOE — James E. Alexis, Democratic Candidate for Middle Township Committee, has assailed the County MUA’s proposed location for the trash transfer station for Southern Cape May County. “The County MUA is trying to make a dumping ground out of Middle Township," said Alexis. “The MUA staff advised Township Committee last week that its first choice for location of the trash transfer station for Southern Cape May County is in Middle Township. Specifically, they propose to place the transfer station on Shunpike just north of Indian Trail.
