Tricks Brighten

By FLORENCE L.J>. HEAL A friend came up with a nifty Halloween idea She called the children in her neighborhood and invited them and their parents to come to a trick and treat party. She decorated her home with the usual Halloween 'decorations and set up a treat and trick table. The table had popcorn balls, molasses cookes. peanuts, apple juice, apples. Halloween candies, spice jtafers. candied apples, and boxes of raisins Along with the goodies she had plastic bags to put

cookes. etc., in so they don’t get all stuck together in the brown bag given to carry home the loot. A little different from when she was a little girl and after coming home from trick and treating she would empty the bag on the kitchen table and find everything stuck together LAST YEAR, the children and parents wear- , ing costumes and masks played a trick on my friend. The parents exchanged children so the hostess had more difficulty in guessing the children An easy way to candy apples is to melt caramels
