Patrol Set For Fla. Tourney WILDWOOD - Eugene ‘'Scoop’’ Taylor, Captain of the Wildwood Beach Patrol, announces that the Wildwood Beach Patrol has again been invited to the -^Eighth Annual Hollywood, Fla. r Invitation Ocean Rescue Tournament. The event will be held on the beach at Johnson Street Doc. 30 The events of this year have been increased to 11, covering rowing, running, swimming and paddle boangng. Taylor stated that the patrol has finished fourth twice and third once in its three trips tc the southland. WILDWOOD WILL be taking 22 men and compete in the races. The patrol will be leaving the day after Christmas and will be done 10 days, making steps at different resorts on the way to do some public relations work for the area. The cost of the trip will be around $6,200 dollars, the same as last year, which will be raised by donations from local people and merchants in the area who have helped the patrol in the past. The past three years and money has been raised from donations and fund raising events that the patrol runs. The City of Wildwood does not contribute. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Petrica. 294 65th St. Annual Surf Tourney on SEA ISLE CITY - The Delaware Valley Surf , Anglers Association will hold its second Sea Isle City Surf Fishing Tournament Saturday, Nov. 5. Beach buggy permits have been waived for the day (only four-wheel drive vehicles are Allowed on the beach). Registration will be 6:30-7:30 a.m.; first fishing K ition. 6-11 a.m.; lunch ak, 11 a.m.-noon; second fishing position, noon-1 p.m., and awards presentation, 3:30 p.m. Headquarters for the tournament will be the Townsends Inlet Civic Center, 85th St. and Landis Ave. Registration checks ($25 for six-member teams and $5 for individuals) should be made out and sent to Delaware Valley Surf Anglers Association, c/o Karl Boehret, treasurer, 149 Earl Lane, Hatboro.
