Chinnici Tells Aid To Aged

N. WILDWOOD - Speaking before the Cape May County Wom.en’s Republican Club, Assemblyman Joseph W. Chinnici (R-ist), spoke about some of the issues that are of major concern to senior, citizens, and his accomplishments during the past two years of his sixth term as an assemblyman. Chinnici stated, “Many of our senior citizens who are recipients of the PAAD Program are concerned, due to the fact, that in the event of their death, if their estate had a value of $3,000

or more, the money they had received from PAAD during their lifetime, would have to be repaid. “I HAVE co-sponsored a bill, A-3S87, which limits the State's right to recover from the deceased s estate only if PAAD money was paid illegally or incorrectly. The bill has been passed by both houses, and is awaiting the Governor's signature.’' The assemblyman said that he has supported programs, such as Lifeline, which helps senior citizens with their fuel bills, the $50 homestead rebate, and the

Chinnici went on to point out he has introduced six death penalty bills in the Assembly in the last 12 years, and this past year, his death penalty bill, A-1390, was joined with a similar bill in the Assembly, and with one from the Senate, and has become the death penalty law now in affect.
