Screenings Scheduled

TRENTON - As part if the observance of State Health Day Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19, Cape May County residents will have a chance to undergo'a screening to help them adopt a healthier lifestyle Screenings for hypertension will be held at the Medical Center, Wildwood, noon-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, and at the American Legion Hall. Ocean City, noon-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. The tests will be conducted by the State Department of Health in cooperation with local health agencies.

AVALON - Avalon Recreation Director, Dave Haberle has announced some changes in the fall recreation schedule. There will be changes in activities, rules and events as further improvements are made in the Community Hall, Haberle noted. Because of the new floor, the Recreation Committee has requested that those taking part in activities at the hall wear white soled sneakers, so as not to marie and mar the' finish. Roller skating will no longer take place at the Community Hall but will be scheduled elsewhere when arrangements are made. LINE DANCING had been scheduled for Thursdays at l p.m. but will not begin until Nov. 17.
