Cemetery Rites Set

School Night For Parents

WILDWOOD - “Back to School Night" will be held by Wildwood High School 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the school auditorium. ■Hie event is intended particularly for the parents of the high school students. It has been announced that report cards will be issued Monday, Nov. 14, which may give parents something to discuss Nov. 15.

COURT HOUSE - Veterans Day ceremonies will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the County Veterans Cemetery on Crest Haven Rd. past the Correctional Institute. Sponsoring the service are Freeholder Gerald M. Thornton, John DiFilippo, Lester Dilts, William Evans, Leon Fulginiti, Paul Hand, Joseph Koury, 1 Benny Langford, Joseph La Rosa, Dominick Roselli,

W. Boyd Tyler, Leonard Witchey, and John M. Moran, director of the cemetary and the County Veterans Bureau. Witchey, of the DAV Chapter 40, will be master of ceremonies. Guest speakers will be Dilts, of Morgan-Ranck Post, American Legion, Ocean City, and James Matthews, VFW 17th District commander. Erwin Cernock, First Sgt. U.S.M.C. Ret., will be in charge of colors.

Veterans Day Rites Scheduled

WILDWOOD - Plans for a community-wide observance of Veterans Day have been announced by Commander Frank Turse of Byron Pennington Croker Post 184 of the American Legion. Ail residents of Wildwood. North Wildwood, WesV 'Wildwood and Wildwood Crest are invited to take part in the observance 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. ll,' - Commander Turse emphasized.

This year’s observance of Veterans Day in the Wildwood^ is being spon sored by Legion Post 184 with the cooperation and assistance of the Margaret Mace School Band, Color Guard and Cub Scouts of America Pack 184.

Handling arrangements for. the various phases of the observance is a committee under the chairmanship of John Lelle The other groups are being represented by Lawrence Martino, director, Margaret Mace School Band, and Alan Garrison, scoutmaster, Cub Pack 184.

The special ceremonies will include the Margaret Mace School Band Concert, roll call of the dead by the post adjutant, Pledge to the I Flag by the Cub Scouts, reading of the Mayor Earl B. Ostrander Proclamation and a silent tribute.
