Chamber Tourney Winners

COURT HOUSE - First honors in the annua! fall open golf tournament of the County Chamber of Commerce, held Oct. 26, were shared by Ed Andress with a “low net”, under the Calloway system, of 62, and Jim Cummings of North Wildwood, who was first place low gross winner with a 78. Andress, a resident of Court House and an employee of the Cape May Co. Bridge Commission, was playing in a foursome with co-worker Milt Nagel of North Wildwood, who took 2nd place low net with a 68, while Will Allen of Stone Harbor took 3rd place with a 70. Second place low gross went to Fred Gabsewics of New Castle, ftel., with an 81, and third low gross went to Marty Aggers of Ocean City with an 82. Winners of trophies for “Closest to the Pin” were: on 9th hole;itob Mangold of Sea Isle City; the 10th hole. Gary Fenton of South Seaville on the third tee, Bob Kimball of the J. Byrne Agency, Wildwood, on the 14th tee, and Glenn Elliott of Cape May on the 18th tee. Trophies were presented to all winners at the awards luncheon which followed the round of golf. Ted Roman, President Cape May County Chamber of Commerce presented the trophies to the winners. He was assisted by Shirley Storms, tournament secretary’, and Bob Patterson, executive director of the chamber.
