Revived Parade Is Spirited

WILDWOOD - The Chamber of Commerce treated residents of the city to a bit of early Halloween Witchery Oct. 28, when ghosts and goblins prowled Wildwood’s streets in the resort’s revived Halloween Parade. Several hundred costumed celebrants paraded down Pacific Ave. accompanied by four marching bands, floats, trolleys, and the omnipresent spirits that so often reveal themselves at this time of year. The presence of summer could be felt again as over a 1,000 locals flocked to the Cedar Ave. boardwalk where they were treated to a Block Party and Fun Fair. Marine West Corp. donated Dracula’s Castle to adtHo the evening while other area merchants contributed prizes and other goodies to be distributed to the children. Various civic organizations donated their time to man the castle and fun fair booths and in some cases such as the pie throw they gave their bodies.
