Needed right now: baby crib and miscellaneous baby articles. If you can spare any of these items, or if you know someone who can, please do get in touch with BIRTHRIGHT at 9677000 or Christ Child Society at 886-3281. It’s important we all help wherever we can and whenever we can. Happy, happy birthday — all 87 of them of Commissioner Ed Jarvis of Cape May Point. Wife, Ceil Jarvis, is also busy, busy. She’s a lector at Our Lady Star of the Sea, and a very important volunteer at Burdette-Tomlin Memorial Hospital. She’s been doing it for years, and her contagious smile helps win you over. This couple has been married for 60 years and lived in the same house for all that time too! They’re remarkable in so many ways. Happy 50th wedding celebration to Rose and Charles Zintner. They celebrated with a renewal of their vows and a party thereafter by family and friends. Another Golden Wedding Celebration, to Helen and Reginald Brown of West Cape May. They’ll renew their vows at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, where Reggie is organist, with a reception following. Reggie is well known as piano teacher to ever so many students here in town. Best wishes are being offered by so many. ••• It’s a time to think of helping others. Miss Patricia •Langan, Director of the Division on Aging for the Diocese of Camden, Catholic Social Services, to spoke all the Masses on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5 and 6, followed by meetings to set up a group interested to help others wherever help is required: be it taking someone shopping; calling on the telephone to talk awhile; perhaps just listening to someone who needs to “pour” out his troubles. Or even taking someone to and from Mass. As “Pat” said, there are so many who are all alone with no families,or families that are so far away. It’s comforting to know someone cares about you, and if you can help, please do call me at 884-4770. This time of the year especially is a lovely time to help someone else... ••• Don’t forget...Cape May Rescue Squad Auxiliary is staging a terrific HOAGIE sale Friday, Nov. 18, at the Franklin Street School.
