Delegates
STONE HARBOR - Don Brown, James Owings and Mrs. John Ritchie will -be delegates from St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at the convention of the Diocese of New Jersey in Trenton Friday, Nov. 18. Parishioners of St. Mary’s will participate in the Seven Mile Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Avalon United Methodist Church. The monthly covered dish supper will be held in the Parish House 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. St. Mary’s celebrates the Holy. Eucharist 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, with a coffee hour after each service. Intercessory prayer is 6 p.m. Sunday, and services are also held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The church also sponsors the Royal Rangers, a scouting program for boys, and the Missionettes program for girls.

STONE HARBOR - Sunday features the finale of "A Month with Martin” (Luther). Pastor Glenn Schoenberger’s sermon is entitled, “Luther and the Laity”. Members of the congregation will be recognized for their ministry in worship, learning, support, service and witness at the 11 a m. service. At 7:30 p.m. at the Avalon Methodist Church, the Annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service is scheduled. Pastor Schoenberger will preach The Bible Study on the Letter of James continues 7 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 17.

Ecumenical Service Sun.
AVALON - The annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving service for all the churches of Seven Mile Beach will be held Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church. 34th Street and Dune Drive. Clergy from the six participating churches will lead the service. The Rev. Glenn Schoenberger, new pastor of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Stone Harbor, will deliver the evening message. A combined choir will sing, with Stephenson Chase as organist. (Joint rehearsal at the Methodist Church will be on Thursday, November 17 at 8:00 for those wishing to be part of the choir). Youth will serve as acolytes and ushers. The evening offering will help needy families through the Cape Human Resources of Cape' May County. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service.
