Awareness Program
AVALON — A Citizen Awareness program has been recommended for the borough by Councilwoman Jeannette Glazier and Police Chief Joseph Foley. Both felt that a Town Watch program is too detailed and sophisticated. Local citizens are asked to report any unusual or illegal activities they see to the police, who will follow up. Citizens are not required to give their names, addresses, or phone numbers as in the past. The person making a report will not be required to appear in court or to file or sign a report. Anyone with questions is urged to contact Councilwoman Sloan or Chief Foley.
