WESTMONT - "Letters From Santa” is sponsored by the Southern New Jersey Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America Inc. For a small tax-deductible contribution to the Leukemia Society, favorite youngsters can receive a personalized letter from Santa. For an additional dollar, the child will also receive a fuzzy hand-puppet. To have a child receive a personalized “Letter from Santa”, send $2 for each letter ($3 for letter and hand-puppet), the na'me, address and age of each child, as well as the donor’s name and address to: Santa/Leukemia Society of America, 216 Haddon Ave., Suite 516, Westmont, 08108.

Boro Tree Lighting

AVALON - The “old fashioned” Christmas spinT will be alive here Friday, Dec. 9. at 7 p.m. the Borough Christmas tree will be lighted at the 21st St. Circle. During the lighting ceremony, there will be performances by choral groups from the Avalon Elementary School, Maris Stella Roman Catholic Church, the Senior Citizen Organization and the First Methodist Church of Avalon. There will also be a sing-a-long of holiday favorites. Following a hayride, there will be hot chocolate and cookies served at Community Hall. For further information, call 967-3066 or 967-5349.
