Teitelman School Honor Rolls Given

ERMA — Hie Richard M. Teitelman School has named 24 students from the Seventh and Eighth Grades to the first honor roll for the first marking period of the school year. Alcoholism Unit: New Director

COURT HOUSE - The Cape May County Council on Alcoholism, affiliated with Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, has a new executive director, James Huber. A native of Westfield, Huber came from the Union County Council on Alcoholism, where he was educational and employee assistance coordinator and ran the Countermeasures program for drunken drivers. Among the alcoholism programs which have been set up by Judith Barlow, alcoholism coordinator, and Huber, are: A N E M P LO YE E Assistance Program at Burdette - Tomlin, which could be in place by Jan. 1. Larry Ganges, from the Division of Alcoholism in Trenton, will conduct training sessions for management and supervisors at the hospital tomorrow and Dec. 7. Lutheran Home-Nurses in-service training program ; Burdette Tomlin Nurses in-service workshop; Fetal Alcoholism SyndromeSeminar for ob-gyn physicians; Rescue Squad Training; County Correctional Facility staff training. Also, at the Dec. 13 meeting fo the board, a seminar on board organization and function will be conducted by staff members from the Division of Alcohol in Trenton.

AVALON - A Citizen Awareness Program to aid the police is beipg developed by Councilwoman Jeannette Glazier and Police Chief Joseph Foley. Under the program, citizens would keep alert for unusual or unlawful activities and report them to the police. Anyone with ideas or suggestions about the program is asked to write or phone Mrs. Glazier at Borough Hall. In his October report, Chief Foley noted that more residential checks are being made as summer
