Kenneth Holmstrup HOLMSTRUP, whoserved as vice director and director of the County Board of Chos«n Freeholders from 1960 until 1972, recently retired from his position as construction ‘ coordinator and administrative assistant for the County Municipal Utilities Authority, a position he had held since 1978. He was also the executive director of the Lower Township Municipal Utilities Authority for five years and served as manager of the Cedar-Shel-lenger Corp. in Wildwood for four years. The newest member of Sturdy Savings and Loan’s board of directors owned and operated the Holmstrup Ornamental Iron Works in Cape May County from 1952 to 1967. Holmstrup was also the proprietor of the Cape May Forge Antique Shop for 10 years. A GRADUATE of the U.S Merchant Marine Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree, Holmstrup sailed as a deck officer for the Pope and Talbot steamship company for seven years. Active in many community organizations, Holmstrup is a past president of both the County Chamber of Commerce and -the Greater Cape May Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the Cape Island Lodge, F.&A.M.; the Cottagers’ Association of Cape May; and, the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May. Holmstrup is also a charter member of the Gape May Rotary Club. He and his wife, Gloria, have two children, Lizabeth and Kenneth.
