COURT HOUSE - The Rev. Wilbert S. Hoffman, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will have as his sermon topic 10:^ a.hu Christmas Day “A-Child is Bom — a Son is Given” Selections from the choir's Christmas cantata will be sung and Donnabelle Hoffman and Debbie Dilworth will present an organ and piano duet. Sunday School will begin at 9:30 a m. with hot chocolate and coffee and donuts. There will be a program of carols and selections on the meaning of Christmas. The Christmas cantata. "The Jesus Gift”, will be aired 3-4 p.m. on station WSJL Sunday. A Quiet Communion is planned for 7 to 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve with the elements at the altar and

To Vietc Film COURT HOUSE - The United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church will hold their first meeting of the new year 8 p.m. Jan. 2. The meeting will be led by President Dee Mills and the program, a film entitled "The People Called Methodists" will be shown. This film deals with all the churches who trace their common -origins to Wesleyan Methodism and viewers will see Methodists preaching, healing, teaching anfl in many ways taking the Gospel to people.
