CAMDEN -- Two Cape May County pastors have been named to the new Council of Priests for the Diocese of Camden formed as required by the new code of canon law put into effect for the Catholic Church throughout the world Nov. 27. Serving on the council of priests, which assists the bishop in the governance of the diocese, are: Msgr, James A. Carr, pastor, St. Augustine parish, Ocean City* and Rev. William Quinn, pastor, St. John of God parish. North Cape May. Msgr. Carr was elected New Year’s Eucharist STONE HARBOR - The Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at the 10 a m. service Sunday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. The 8 a.m. service has been discontinued until the middle of March. Church School has been cancelled Sunday because of the New Year’s holiday. It will resume 9:45 a:m. Sunday, Jan. 8. Watch Night Services Set
WILDWOOD CR. - Watch 'night services will be held at the First United Methodists Church, 6700 Atlantic Ave., 9 a.m. Dec. 31. There will be time for fun, refreshments and worship. The evening will conclude with the Lord’s Supper just prior to midnight.
Worship service for Sunday, Jan. 1, will have North Wildwood United Methodist Church joining for worship at First United Methodist Church at 9:30 a.m. Childrens Sunday Workshop begins with the 9:30 worship and dismisses at about 10:00 for study, crafts, refreshments and exercise. New Year’s Message
GREEN CREEK — Pastor Joseph Muggleworth will preach on a New Year theme entitled “How to Escape Boredom in a New Year" at the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service of the Community Church, Delsea Drive. Sunday School meets at 9:45 a.m., with classes for all ages. Prayer meeting convenes on the first and third.^Wednesdays of each week at 8 p.m. Hymn Sing night featuring local guest musicians meets one Sunday night each month at 7 p.m.
New Year’s Eve Service
N. WILDWOOD - Central Bible Church, 18th and Central, will hold a New Year’s Eve service at 7:30 p.m. including the feature length film entitled “Jon Hus”. The movie is about the Bohemian priest who felt that the Bible should be presented in the language ’ of the poeple, and was burned at the stake in 1415. There will be a free will offering and refreshments following the film. At the 10:45 a.m. service New Year’s Day, pastor Dr. Alvin L. Baker will be continuing his exposition of Philippians. His message will be entitled “No Confidence in the Flesh”. At 9:30 a.m. Elder George Forbes will continue his lessons from Daniel for the adult Sunday School class. The regular 7 p.m. service will be canceled so that families can spend New Year’s Day together.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be administered at the 11 a.m. worship service New Year's Day at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church (Old Bride), 780 Seashore Road. The pastor, The Rev. Fred C. Bischoff, will give a meditation entitled “Shut That Door!” Supervised nursey is provided for pre-schoolers. Sunday School classes for all ages are held in Price Hall on Academy Road ?t 9:30 a.m. and adult class in the church at 9:45 a.m.
