SOMERS POINT - The Chest and Health Association of Southern New Jersey will hold a “Kick the Habit” Smoking Withdrawal Workshop beginning 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Shore Memorial Hospital here. The workshop is open to all South Jersey residents who want to stop smoking and instructors will discuss all aspects of smoking addiction. The workshop involves five sessions, conducted on a weekly basis, and the fee is $25. Those attending four of the five weekly sessions will receive a $10 refund. Smoking is addictive both physically and psychologically. Nicotine, the main ingredient in cigarettes, is also the most addictive. Some smokers actually go through physical withdrawal symptoms while quitting. To add to tins problem, the psychological addiction can be even more of a challenge.
